About the role

Are you a commercially minded SEO Specialist who thrives when taking full ownership of organic growth in a fast‑paced ecommerce environment?
Do you enjoy working at the intersection of content, technology, and performance – turning search intent into traffic, conversions, and long‑term brand value?
Do you want to own the overall SEO strategy while also shaping how we maximise our visibility within AI‑driven generative search environments (GEO)?

Polarn O. Pyret is now looking for an SEO Specialist based in Stockholm. This is a full‑time, permanent role with end‑to‑end responsibility for the organic strategy across the brand’s ecommerce platform.

As an SEO Specialist, you will be part of the Ecommerce team and play a key role in scaling our organic visibility, strengthening our technical foundations, and ensuring that both SEO and GEO are embedded in all content and commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

SEO – Search Engine Optimization

• Own and operationally lead the SEO strategy for our DTC websites.
• Drive organic traffic and revenue growth across category, product, and editorial content.
• Collaborate with the DO‑office and Ecommerce team to improve technical SEO (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, migrations).
• Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, and identify content gaps to guide optimization plans.
• Optimize site architecture, internal linking, templates, and on‑page SEO on priority pages.
• Collaborate with Content, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to ensure SEO is integrated into campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and commercial priorities.
• Monitor algorithm updates and the competitive landscape and translate insights into concrete actions.
• Track rankings, organic revenue, conversion, and SEO‑driven performance; report on results and opportunities.
• Own SEO tools and dashboards (Search Console, GA4, crawling/rank tracking tools) and ensure consistent measurement.

GEO – Generative Engine Optimization

• Develop and own PO.P’s GEO strategy to maximise visibility in AI‑generated answers (e.g., Google SGE, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT responses, Perplexity, etc.).
• Ensure content, metadata, and structured data are packaged in ways that AI systems can easily understand, summarise, and highlight across categories and products.
• Identify and analyse GEO opportunities, risks, and shifts in customer search behaviour as traffic moves toward generative answers.
• Adapt content formats, FAQ structures, product information, and editorial texts to become “AI‑answerable” and increase the likelihood of being referenced or recommended by AI models.
• Work closely with the Content, Brand, and Ecommerce teams to create content that performs effectively for both SEO and GEO.
• Build measurement, testing frameworks, and reporting for GEO‑driven visibility, traffic, and revenue.

Tracking & Measurement – Google Tag Manager and Ecommerce Tracking

• Lead the setup, maintenance, and quality assurance of tracking across our ecommerce platform.
• Be highly skilled in Google Tag Manager, including data layers, event tracking, triggers, variables, and version control.
• Work closely with developers to ensure correct implementation of data layer specifications.
• Ensure accurate tracking for SEO and GEO initiatives, conversions, product interactions, and content performance.
• Ensure GA4, tracking, and tagging are robust, accurate, and support both analytics and commercial decision‑making.

Who we’re looking for

• Proven SEO experience from lifestyle, consumer, or ecommerce brands (in‑house or agency).
• Strong technical SEO skills paired with experience in content optimization and on‑page best practices.
• Tech‑savvy and curious about how AI is reshaping search – ideally with interest or early experience in GEO.
• Highly skilled in Google Tag Manager and ecommerce tracking setups.
• Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how organic visibility drives revenue, conversions, and customer acquisition.
• Thrives working cross‑functionally in agile teams and communicates priorities and trade‑offs effectively.
