Sustainability Manager (parental leave cover)
About the role
As Sustainability Manager at PO.P (Polarn O. Pyret), you will have overall responsibility for leading, developing and implementing the company’s sustainability work, with a focus on climate and environmental impact. The role is both strategic and operational and requires the ability to make independent decisions, drive change and ensure high quality in data, processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and further develop PO.P’s climate and environmental strategy in line with the business plan and overall company strategy, including responsibility for implementing activities to achieve the company’s SBTi targets.
- Have end-to-end responsibility for planning and project managing the company’s sustainability report, including coordination of data collection, analysis, quality assurance and content development in collaboration with relevant functions.
- Hold overall responsibility for mapping, calculating and monitoring the company’s greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3, as well as defining, tracking and reporting environmental and climate targets and KPIs. Ensure structure, quality and reliability of all sustainability- and quality-related data.
- Drive and implement emission reduction initiatives in close collaboration with production offices and other relevant functions, with a particular focus on Scope 3 (purchased products). Project manage supplier initiatives related to environment, climate, water and energy, and deliver sustainability training for suppliers and production organizations.
- Be responsible for the company’s sustainability data and traceability platforms (KPI reporting and traceability), including requirements setting, data collection and development in collaboration with IT, Merchandising and other functions.
- Monitor regulations (e.g. CSRD), trends and initiatives within sustainability and climate, act as an internal expert and advisor, and be responsible for sustainability training both internally and externally.
Competence Profile
To succeed in this role, you are:
- Analytical, structured and confident in making decisions in complex situations.
- Self-driven and experienced in leading change in organizations with multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working both strategically and operationally.
- Business-oriented, with the ability to integrate sustainability into business processes and decision-making.
- A strong communicator, confident in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in sustainability, environmental studies, textiles or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience within sustainability or a related field.
- Experience owning and driving sustainability or climate strategies, including implementation and follow-up of targets and actions.
- Experience with greenhouse gas calculations and emissions tracking across Scope 1–3 is highly meritorious.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
This is a fulltime parental leave cover starting April 2026 – Sep 2027.
The position is placed at PO.Ps head quarter at Hälsingegatan in Stockholm.
